… and that’s the opposite way a retro console usually comes into existing. However, this is what’s happening now. We’ve started with the emulator first. Continuum 93 works great as such but we need to target some piece of hardware that would run it. This would allow anyone to develop their own retro console with hardware and peripherals they can choose.

So far we’re considering, offcourse, Raspberry Pi zero 2W. But we can’t ignore the low availability of the hardware, so this broadened the list to other options such as Banana or Orange Pi.

The idea is to write Continuum as a native OS for all that hardware and then benchmark, test, and eventually see what the performance will be.

That’s the plan, at least. More, to come.
